James Hogan - Tenor

Described as “a young singer to watch”, tenor James Hogan is fast becoming involved in the Bay Area music community. As a current student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, James appears in many conservatory opera productions and concerts. Highlights include Monteverdi’s L’incornazione di Poppea, Britten’s The Turn of the Screw, and the West-coast premiere of Johnathan Dove’s Mansfield Park. In addition to his appearances at the conservatory, James made his professional debut in 2015 with Ars Minerva in their production of Castrovillari’s La Cleopatra, a Baroque treasure that was lost for over three centuries.

Before moving to the Bay Area, James sat on the board of directors for a local theatre company in Colorado. During his time on the board James aided in founding and directing an education outreach program for Elementary school children to introduce them to the performing arts. James also appeared in several company productions including The Sound of Music, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Les Miserables.
